Continued from Homepage Now that Liam is very spontanious in his speech and conversation, I can't believe what is coming out of him. He is recalling and commenting on things that happened many months ago. Things and memories that I thought were lost because he seemed to not notice or care at the time. Even though he was unable to recall any of this to me at the time, it has obviously been in there just waiting for the right words. I truly believe now that no matter how checked out he seemed, he was obviously fully aware of everything and was recording it into memory. I would also talk to him and give him details of what I was doing, where we were going, etc. It was tempting to be silent around him sometimes, seemed like a good time for me to rest my tired, sleep deprived mind, but I am glad I didn't. I was always singing to him, reading him books while I restrained him on my lap (kodak moment!), and just jabbering at him. It is paying off right now, I sang the first line of a song I made up when he was a baby and he sang the next line. There is no way he could have heard it anywhere else, and I have not sung it in a year. He remembered it! Hang in there, these little sponges are taking it all in and when they
